Heskey, Cueller and Gizan.....talks on new deals postponed until the season's end because the 'gaffer' prefers it that way. http://www.independent.ie/breaking-news/sport/villa-put-trio-talks-on-hold-3065122.html

Well if he offers Heskey a deal he should be fired on the spot. The other two, it is mental. However maybe it suggests he might get the chop? and the club want the new manager making decisions. I can only hope.

I hope you're right. I just don't know anymore. Could you imagine him rebuilding our squad from scratch given how little support he has from the fans and how he sounds slightly more like O'Dreary in each press conference?

We are fast becomming a laughing stock, if Emile gets a new deal, we are finished. And McLeish needs to walk the plank.

He should be flayed first.

Relax.

All 3 will be gone in the Summer.

Sad about Carlos and Brad, but good riddance to the Hippo with corns.

Yes. It's a way of delaying the announcement that the three of them are leaving. Contract talks 'put on hold' invariably means that.

Heskey has been such a dissapointing player for us, and such a dissappointing player in general. If a guy like him is still hauling himself around the Premiership next season it will be a sad indictment of the league.

I'd sell Gabby if someone came in with a £10mil+ bid.
I can't see anyone doing that.

Haha. Mental.

Lest we forget, he's cost us (so far) a total of £11.3m in transfer fee and wages.
For that we've had 9 goals in 83 appearances.

Fair exchange and no robbery.

Gabby needs a new Manager who will bring out his best attacking instincts and play him in his proper position.

Heskey getting another deal would be pathetic, I've never wanted to see the back of a player so much in all my days

I reckon it's cost us something like £14m thus far. £3.5m transfer fee, signing fee plus wages in the region of £10m. It really makes me quite angry.
