I am pretty sure Swansea will get Sigurdsson and Fulham Progrobnyak, although both would have made astute signings for us. Lets see what our scouting side comes up with

And I'm pretty sure if we want either player we'd get them above the clubs mentioned.
Things are bad if we can't compete there

Even with our cut backs we should still be able to out bid these type of clubs for players, if not its time to worry.

I don't really see the big deal with the Russian bloke.

He's scored a hat trick against the dross which is Wolves (against whom I reckon even I'd bag at least a brace, and I haven't stepped onto a football pitch since 1982) but otherwise looked pretty anonymous, hasn't he?

But yes, I have no truck with those who think we suddenly can't compete with the pull of the likes of Swansea, Fulham, Stoke etc etc

I'm not 100% convinced with Pogrebnyak yet but there's a very useful player there somewhere. Especially in competition with Bent and Gabby.
Stuttgart aside, his record is very good. Worth taking a chance with on a free. Likewise, that Das Boot fella.

Sigurdsson only went to Swansea due to his relationship with Rodgers who he knew from his Reading days

Maz, if it were a straight race, yes, but the 2 mentioned are at clubs that stuck their neck out to get them in Jan, have had 6 months building that relationship, it levels the race and probably tips it in their favour.

I'd keep Makoun personally although it's likely he'll be off which is a shame. We've not seen enough of him.

I'd like to keep Makoun as well.

Once Wolves go down I wouldn't mind a punt on Matt Jarvis or Kevin Doyle.

Give him a chance! He's only played in a couple of other games!

I'd go for Hennessey.

Really??  I've always thought he just doesn't look much like a keeper.  He doesn't seem to have the prescence in the box.  Jarvis or Kightly,  maybe, but frankly I'd feel a bit like a vulture picking over the bones of some animal of the savannah, in  Wolves case possibly a wildebeast.

Just looking through the premiership bosman lists, and frankly it's not that exciting, there are a couple out there:  Figueroa, Jordi Gomez, Rodallega and Diame are all up at Wigan, the latter would be the one I'd be most up for, genuinely 2 footed and decent going forward or back, (a replacement for Petrov?).  There's Gordon at Sunderland, but how is he going to come back from injury?  And obviously Hoillett (please!).

I'd rather have Fletcher, Doyle hasn't done anything this season.

I used to rate him, but he's been dreadful this season and made some terrible gaffes.

I can't think of a Wolves player i'd want and certainly not Doyle.

He's been mentioned before and his Premiership scoring record is shit - We've got Heskey for that.

There are no Wolves players I'd take.
