Quite true, but I still think it's wrong of Alex to say what he did while he's playing for Fulham.  Turn it around the other way and we'd be spitting feathers!

I'll give Eck this, he's more imaginative than MON in the transfer market. However, I'm still not convinced about Pogrebnyak. He's had a decent run recently, but he's been pretty average for Stuttgart (not bad, just not as good as they'd hoped when he was bought to replace Mario Gomez). A sort of Villa-level Zigic if you will, as in Zigic wasn't quite good enough for Blues level when they signed him, and Pogrebnyak would be similar for us I fear.

I've liked Pogrebnyak since that Zenit UEFA Cup win a few years ago.

Finished as the top scorer in the tournament and I reckon that had he not got badly injured would have been a star in Euro 2008.

Some players are just suited better to some leagues rather than others. I reckon that he's just one of those players who works really well in the Premier League.
