Potentially I think Bannan has more in his locker than Ireland and should really force him out of the team as I don't really think they can both play together.

Go back 12 months to our pre-season game against Braga, those two looked brilliant together, linking up like they'd been playing together for years. Admittedly it wasn't long enough to really judge but you got the feeling you were watching two naturally talented players who read each other's play, think on the same wavelength as well as compliment each other. It was a shame they were never given another chance, I guess as TSM would have had to drop either Gabby or £26m Bent and was terrified of the fan's reaction.

Why would he?  We played often with Gabby and N'Zogbia wide of Bent, so could continue to do so with Ireland and Bannan as two of a three man midfield.

That would have left Petrov at the back all by his lonesome, sitting in front of that clueless defence. Neither Bannan or Ireland could be trusted to help him out.

I’d like to see us try Bannan in the deep lying play maker role.  After Pirlo’s performance v England at the Euros I’d imagine that this position may become more popular.

Ireland or Bannan ahead of Herd and El Ahmedi

Bit worrying we have no bids for any of our players, I hope we can still sign concrete ron without moving some of the shit

Who said there's been no bids?  We're notorious for not letting anything out, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's been several enquiries/bids we haven't heard about!

Whenever i've seen Bannan and Ireland play together i think they play really well.QPR away, the interplay, and understanding between them was very good. You would need 2 defensive midfielders play alongside them, and i'm not sure they would get enough goals between them, but they do play well together.

Exactly, which to me says Lerner has handed PL a small transfer budget. A lot of criticism has gone away from Lerner after PL's appointment but I think he's still the main cause of our problems. I still wish he'd sell up and let us move on properly with an owner who shows more commitment and speaks to us once in a while!

Lets wait until the transfer window ends and see what business is done before jumping on randys back, for all we know we may have vlaar and other signings lined up and id expect more to happen when everyone gets back from the states regarding transfers in and out.
