Delph has just moved into a new penthouse in Brum. Not sure whether that means anything or not but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Must mean he's going up in the world!

Maybe someone read that he'd "bought a new Penthouse", but only because the newsagent had sole out of Playboy

Just a few rumours flying around various twitter sources who don't have a bad track record. Matt Phillips to sign for Villa, Bertrand on loan and Tongo Doumbia in advanced talks.

Don't know how much truth to them all but would happily have them as they all seem hungry, young talented players respectively.
ITSOTP - and then I'd be very pleased.

Just noticed with the squad list on the official site that Holman and Delfouneso both have the No.14 shirt... Is the Fonz off maybe?
I rather hope so; I think he's surplus to requirements.

Pretty exciting if they came. We would be good going forward. Just a striker and centre half to add them.

I'd probably do a little poo in my pants if we signed Matt Phillips.

Lambert should know all about Phillips. He gave him his debut at Wycombe. I think he came of age last season. He added consistency and goals to his game. I'd be happy with that signing. He's very quick, skillful, confident with the ball at his feet too. He's also still very young. I'd be happy with that.

Bertrand on loan would also be good. He's a decent attacking fullback. He needs a run in the top flight to really test him. I think he could be another Kyle Walker for us.

If we are talking rumours on twitter, one this morning that Contract talks have hit the rocks with Scott Sinclair.

He'll end up at the dippers I reckon. Looks like a good player.

It would really show some intent to sign Sinclair, Phillips and Doumbia.

It would make us very dangerous on the break. Phillips one side and sinclair the other with Bent and and Gabby with 2 big strong centre mids would be quite scary for the opposition.

I still don't think we'll sign two new wide players, but one of Sinclair, Phillips or Snodgrass would be fine with me!

I think it'd be one or the other with Sinclair and Phillips. That is unless Lambert writes off both Alby and N'Zog. Which probably wouldn't entirely surprise me.

I reckon though we'll have one more in by the start of next week. Who that'll be is anyone's guess. Might be one of these rumoured, or might be someone out of the blue like his first two signings.

I'd like to think both N'Zogbia and Albrighton will be given a fair chance this season.  It's make or break for Super Marc and without the excuse of negative tactics holding him back, we need to see a £10m footballer in Charlie or he should be on his bike next summer.  But both could be excellent players for us, so let's find out before spending big to replace them.
