Molde are now in the Champions League.
And we all know what could happen if they have qualified for that.

It is waste of time speculating who is joining Villa as we have to appoint OGS first then we probably see Wolf as new signing first and appoint two coach. OGS would have lot of different ideas and probably have a list of wonderful vikings and young Manchester United players to go for among others targets caught his eye while coaching Man utd Reserves or his Norwegian team.

Great!! So we are going to have a team of Man Utd's reserves and players plying their trade in a worse league than the Scottish Premier.  Before we all proclaim Norway to be the some kind of footballing hotbed, let's remember that their national team has not qualified for a major tournament since 1998.

What's Norway not qualifying for a tournament got to do with anything? It's about a 1/10 of the population of England and we regularly get to tournament and thoroughly embarrass ourselves with our so called "golden generation". The fact that a small nation like that has qualified for major tournaments is an accomplishment in itself.

Jesus, are we starting to get at a potential manager now?  Smile, McLeish has gone...

When's the last time Wales qualified?

As such, I am hereby declaring that Gareth Bale is not good enough for us!

Liberia ?  What sort of a country is that?  Who?  George Weah? - never heard of him mate - bring on England's young sensation Grant Holt and get the long ball flying again at Villa Park - it'll be just like Martin O'Neill is back - only with less money - oh - that means more like Graham Taylor then...

the second time round ...

Holt is your modern day Marcus Stewart.

Oddly enough, watching him playing against us, I kept thinking 'James Beattie'.

As others have pointed out, a significant wedge of money for a 31 year old should be something in our past, not our future.

Daily Mail reckon that QPR want Shay Given.

I don't doubt they do but wanting and getting are different matters.

Still, I'm not that bothered if he wants to leave to be honest. I'd rather he didn't but he's not irreplaceable.
I can't see him wanting to go to QPR though.

I think Given won't want to move. He can be a hero up here, for a long time, he's already been sucessful. Can't see this happening.

Victor Moses and Jonas Olsson would be 2 of my transfer targets straight away. Then Olsson from Blackburn, he can play left back and left wing. I think Scott Dann for another centre half and Clyne from Palace as right back would be the next option.

That would strengthen the back four, and a wide player. Just a centre mid then and we'll be alright. maybe...

Clyne's a good player and Jonas Olsson I'm not sure about. Victor Moses maybe.
No thanks to Blackburn Olssons and Dann.

Has anyone seen Steve Kean since he went to India, or is he being repatriated bit by bit in little bags of chicken portions?

EDIT: I know, wrong thread! Sorry.

If OGS gets the job I think that Villa will be linked with every Scandinavian this side of Noggin the Nog and Olaf the Lofty.
