Or perhaps the money is there but PL wants to spend it in this way?  I just don't get all this 'Lerner is being a skinflint' stuff.  The club said weeks ago that there's money for transfer fees, it's the wage bill that needs to be kept sane.  It's something I agree with.

Would I sign Dawson?  Yes I would.  Good defender and surprised AVB is willing to let him go especially that Kaboul is out for 4 months.

I don't mind Warnock staying - and I'd have him back in the squad. Bennett should be our first choice LB, but having Warnock on the bench as backup for there AND defensive midfield will be a boost to the strength of the squad. As for Hutton.. very little positive if he stays. Would be happy to see him go somewhere on loan if we can't sell him.

I think even if Hutton and Warnock don't leave today, there's every chance of them going somewhere on loan in the next few weeks. We'd probably have to pay a chunk of their wages, but at least they wouldn't be anywhere near the Villa team.

People believe what they want to and are quick to knock players, managers, owners at the turn of a hat. Lambert said in his press conference that he has brought this players in and he is responsible. He is spendin the money wisely and in 3-4 years he will get it back and more potentially if these signings pay off. Its a better position to be in then spending loads of money on 29 year olds who will play a couple of seasons and get no money back.

Im happy with the way the club is going. We will have a young side playing attractive football, playing there heart out for each other because its about football and not money.

Some villa fans are fxxxxx clueless.. Just get behind your team if you haven't had a wank over them on FM your never happy. We have in Lambert the best manager we've had since Taylor (1st time) he is spotting young talent and having a go. We haven't got the dosh to waste.
