Very much so, especially considering the style of play and the results the younger players get.

I wonder if it's because at that level they can play with more freedom and less fear?
Not the same pressure as playing in front of 30K+, mistakes won't be publicly analyzed and so on.

Also are the opposition as experienced or as driven to win as our boys. Obviously several of our team have 1st team experience but I don't recognise any names in the Newcastle side. (Although, I don't look at their team sheets every week)

Gosling was the only player of theirs that I know.

Great performance, hit the woodwork 4 times and had a goal disallowed and still won 4-0.

Just watched it on AVTV and enjoyed it a lot. They played some nice football and it should have been a lot more than 4. Bannan really does look a class act, he was superb.

Beautiful football in the 2nd half. Think we need to get them out on loan earlier though. How old is wee Barry? He's been this good for years at that level. When you think of Nathan Redmond doing well in the Championship at 17, well, it's food for thought anyway. Not sure what the answer is to be honest. Summat to debate perhaps.

One day soon, when we're safe, I'd like us to see us play 6 or 7 of the reserves together.  Whilst they might not be as good individually as their senior counterparts, their unity, familiarity and a winning habit might make them greater than the sum of their parts.

When introduced in isolation, I think they naturally adopt the mentality of the first team, which right now is probably not a good thing.
