Gabby looked well off the pace against Wigan, cannot see how he can lead the line.

Without Bent and Keane, I fear our ability to score will be minimal. After last week, we look look fragile and McLeish doesn't seem to have any ability to motivate and raise the players game.

We may have more quality on paper than Blackburn and the others below us, but do we have the fight?   :-\

Blackburn 2-1 Villa.  Pessimism has settled like the cloak of night stealing the light and hope from the hearts of men, as Stuart Hall might put it.  Although on paper this is winnable I can't see where our next 3 points will come from.  May the Gods help us. Petrov to return and Weimann to start, he can't do worse than Heskey.

8-1 to the Villa. Gabby 6 (six), Ireland, Bannan.

Rovers score in the 85th minute to make it a nervy ending.

Or 0-0.

Let's hope it's not too minor.  Chris Herd to fill in for him

Let's hope you slam both of your hands in the car door, so you can't type any more crap like that.

Harsh.

Plus I think we may need Herd in midfield if Petrov isn't fit.

It's an internet forum where people are entitled to their opinions and if you disagree I see no need for childish insults. Chris Herd was MOTM when he played at RB against Wolves and I think Hutton is about the worst right back I've seen at VP. Maybe you can join me at VP to try and slam my fingers in the car door

How about just voicing your opinion then, instead of wishing worse injuries on Villa players?

Herd needs to join Petrov and Gardner in a three man CMF. With this as the base, we can expect a far more solid performance compared to that at Wigan.
If Hutton is unfit - and I hope he isn't since he is definitely not our worst performer - then let's step Lichaj up to the plate.

You really think that was a genuine wish for an injury to be more serious? It was meant as a lighthearted throwaway. Must remember to use winky things in future. My thoughts about Chris Herd still stand - and I've restored it in your selective quote from my original comment - and I stand by my belief that Hutton is just about the worst RB I've seen at VP
