Is he learning how to trap a ball pinged to him at head height?

My God !...thankyou SteveN'Rose for a note of sanity and composed thinking amongst all the mindless dross that passes for constructive opinion on this topic  ( and many others on these pages ! ) .   Sports Science in the USA ?....go and ask Robbie Keane , David Beckham even JPA about how they have virtually resurected their careers due in to the far superior Fitness standards set in American sport .  I applaud the Villa Management for taking the opportunity of going away to improve themselves and their Club , after all , is,nt that what most ambitious Companies do all the time ? . ....is,nt it ? . ............Godzvilla !

Great idea.

Hopefully McLeish will come back and instruct Bent to think outside the box when making a tackle in his own box.  Will instruct Collins to have a little less Blue Sky thinking and will give Warnock a road map away from Villa Park.

Jesus! How pointless. Manager of one crappy struggling side, jets out to swap notes with the gaffer of another crappy, struggling side. Both clueless.
It's like Woody Allen and Mr Muscle comparing notes on cage fighting for fucks sake!

Could we not spend the two weeks kicking players up the arse and getting them to pull their fingers out, and perhaps also working on our tactical deficiencies. I see no positive reason why seeing the Browns, who are shite, can offer any insight into improving Villa. They should be more worried about improving their situation, as should we.

I don't like McLeish, but whilst he's the manager, he should be fucking here, not in America fannying around. That's all it is. Pissing in the wind! This club is really getting pathetic, and it's from the top down. Poor, poor decisions.

When will this season just end?

I'd be happy if he could control one played into his feet once in a while... his touch in the last couple of games has been embarrassing considering how much he earns.

What's the point of this?

Firstly, what can an American Football club do to help us push forward? And secondly, the Browns are shit anyway, if they can't push forward in their own sport, they have no helping us with this club. Wouldn't it better if the board made McLeish work very hard being defensive against set pieces? But then again, they probably don't even realise what's going on in the pitch. Wouldn't surprise me. Not sure who's worse - Venkys or Randy's team.

Why didn't we send him over to shadow Pep Guardiola or Jose Mourinho for a bit? Hell at this rate, I'd take shadowing Alan fecking Pardew!

We're rapidly becoming a really bad Morecombe and Wise sketch.

That fella Houghton is doing OK as well, perhaps he could shadow him, he'd probably remember the way to Wast Hills as well.

Do you think at the next match at Villa Park, the players will enter the pitch to Born In The USA and/or Living In America? I do.

Can we organise a re-recording of that old Proclaimers song
'Letter of resignation from America.'

Although any song would be better than that Leonard Cohen-Lite shit they play at the moment.

I see no harm in this whatsoever. If it stops us getting so many injuries or we learn some way of convincing Richard Dunne to diet then that's fine by me.
