This never used to happen at Villa Park! you have to blame the Mcleish factor (oh come on you have to blame someone)

Or you could be an intelligent human being and assume Suarez has nothing to do with this and the fact that it occurred on the same weekend is but a mere a coincidence.

I think it's just as likely the two incidents were related considering the massive stir it caused.

I can't see it myself, from a kids perspective, he probably just wanted to get on with shaking hands with 'the famous people', I doubt he even realised he was meant to shake the hand of the other mascot, and if he did know, he probably just forgot from the excitement of it all.

*shrug* I suppose you'd have to ask how often that kind of thing happens.

Probably quite a lot, we just don't notice it because there doesn't tend to be so much interest around the mascots shaking hands.

This  Mail article is laughable. Specially this bit:

"The alarming move by the young mascot at Villa Park took place the day after Suarez's controversial act in Manchester."

The kid was probably overwhelmed by it all and didn't even realise he had to shake hands with fellow mascot with whom he must have spent a good few hours leading up the  kick off.

I think that the lad is Phil Upton from BBC WM's son. He posted something on Facebook last week that his son was a mascot at Villa - Man City

You have to ask yourself whether the Daily Mail is worth reading.

Like Chipsticks said he probably just wanted to shake hands with the footballers and forgot to shake the other mascots hand because he was excited at doing that.
