I think he's going for damage limitation again.

Got to win this one. Attack is the best way so I hope Eck and team go for it.

I think he's going for damage limitation again.

It will work about as well as it did at Spurs - not at all - and s the one thing he could do today to ensure he emerges from the match with less support than before it.

There could be something in his contract that says if he's fit he plays. If so we'd rather have the option of taking him off than bringing him on.

Something that generally compounds the damage. I'd rather lose five-nil having given it a go than set up to defend or neutralise the opposition and lose one-nil.

Even O'Neill wouldn't be stupid enough to dish out a contract like that.

I'm not going to condemn him for something that hasn't happened yet, but if (yes IF) he does go for damage limitation then he's committing hari kari.

He'll do himself no favours with that.

Yep.

Hopefully it is not true. Let's at least have a go at them.

Heskey on the wing? Where did it all go so badly wrong.

August 2011 (or March 2010)

In fairness I think we could do with Heskey's strength today, just a shame it's one of our creative players that will miss out.

True, I also think we sometimes look better with him in the team as he gives us a presence up front. A few times when he has came on earlier this season we have improved for his presence. Not sure if he adds a threat though as we seem to be better but still lack potency up front.

I've just see Charles N'Zogbia getting a placard out of his boot on the players car park.

Are you sure it wasn't a bedsheet?
