I still don't get the Heskey sub. What was the point? Really, what was the thinking behind it? AM finally gets his team to play some good football and then he does that. Why?

McLeish is an enigma. Whenever I begin to think he's a good manager he ruins it by doing something stupid. But I know he's not a bad manager either, it's so frustrating. He doesn't realise what a big club he's had. Playing for a draw is not good enough at our level.

He's inconsistent and the team are a reflection of that. He did say he wanted to build a side in his image though, so there you are: its on the pitch now.

Thought Gardner had scored there.

Heskey stood looking on again, Villa are effectively down to 10 men.

Is this the worst defence we have ever had?

Surely Dunne is the worst and most pathetic CB that I have ever seen. Same for Warnock and Hutton as full backs.

Gardner has made a big difference and should have been on much much earlier.

Played well; BB and GG have both had a good influence.

When we pass it we create chances, when we launch it we concede.

Newcastle likely to go level on points with Chelsea - dear me, the Premier League really is a pile of cack these days

Which says so much about how badly run the Villa are at the moment.

Effing Warnock and Dunne are a comedy sometimes; forget Laurel and Hardy.

What do you think Heskey was told to do when he came on?
