Even if he wasn't, isn't that the purpose of a squad? The ability to change things if you think someone else like Bannan, Albrighton etc can offer something else.
Has taking him off improved things?

We fucking give the ball away so much. Surely it has to click at some point that the long ball is utterly useless unless Gabby is up there. And even then it has limited success.
