No Franksy tonight - coincidence or still all a bit too raw for him?  Richie Anderson stepping in and starting straight off with a dig at Villa fans.

Tony Cascarino was very complimentary about us on Talksport this morning, though.

Yes he was, saying that we should be listening to fans who watch week in, week out and having a bit of faith in their view.

All together now “Crosses the ball in the airrrrrrrrrrrrr...............”

Considering he didn't have the best of times at Villa he always speaks highly of us to be fair.

His debut at Derby? Remember it being bloody hot that day, drinking far too much real ale and him hitting the bar with a header.

It was a hot day, packed out in the away end behind the goal and he did come close to scoring. SGT brought Nigel Callaghan back in from the cold but I think he was subbed at half time. Ormondroyd replaced him and scored the winner. At one point Derby brought on Kevin Francis, who I think was about nine and a half foot tall and the Villa fans started singing "what the f***ing hell is that"?

Yep I was there.  Tone down the right for Sticks to slide home.  That was featured on the credits for Saint & Greavsie from thereon.  Cas couldn’t even qualify for a medal if we had won the league because he was bought in too late.

Shilton made a save from cascarino. It was very hot as Derby seemed to be quite often for away games.

Was that Callaghan's last Villa appearance?

David the Villa fan on last night started by saying he admired Franks professionalism in the light of Bruce being sacked. He then went on say the board have let ‘Brucey’ down and they should phone him up, admit they’ve made a mistake and ask him to come back.

I shouldn’t be surprised that there are people who genuinely think he did an OK job but jees.

There seems to be a lot of intellectually challenged ppl that phone into WM, but genuine question...does Tom the Villa fan have learning difficulties?

Don't know where he lives but he constantly talks shite, repeats himself, says "ya know" a lot and thinks Fat Sam is the answer to all our problems. I'd rather not say anything too offensive about him if there's a genuine reason for his annoying contributions to the phone in.

He always sounds to me as if he is ready to finish every sentence with 'oooh matron'.
