The one time he did get a run at centre half was with Davies, and it cost us a champions league spot.

But no one can be surprised. A half decent player but not a great one as many people seem to suggest. Don't let the fact he's a model pro and appears to be a decent bloke detract from the fact he's nothing more than an average, run of the mill PL player.

Good luck Carlos.  Will be gutted to see him go and a shame MON continuously played him out of position at right back.  But if he is not playing then its only best he leaves this transfer window where we can get some money for him rather than for a free in the summer.  Lets hope Eck spends the money wisely
