Villa v Wolves: Given, Hutton, Dunne, Collins, Clark, Albrighton, Agbonlahor, Gardner, Petrov, Keane, Bent. Subs: Warnock, Guzan, Delfouneso, Bannan, Cuellar, Weimann, Baker.
Ireland must be injured
Great to see Gardner starting

As I said on other thread, It's great to see Gardner get a start and Warnock dropped. I'm less concerned about Ireland not playing if he's injured. Come on you Villa boys!

The mind truly boggles as to how that will line up in a formation!

4-3-3, changing to 4-5-1?

Pleased to see that Warnock has been dropped, Hutton next. Agree about Gardner.

I'm getting worse. In my rush to be first to post the team news I posted on the wrong thread.

Having already ran over my foot with the hoover earlier on it is fair to say I'm having a Warnock.

Im guessing thats a 4-2-3-1, Petrov and Gardner sitting with Gabby left, Marc right, Keane in the hole behind Bent.

4-4-1-1

Albrighton and Gabby wide, Petrov marshalling the middle leaving Gardner to get stuck in, Keane playing just behind Bent.

So, Albrighton wide right, Gabby wide left with Petrov/Gardner sitting deep and Keane linking.  Bent goal hanging of course :)

Sounds about right to me.

It'll be interesting to see how young Gardner gets on today.

I do think we look a bit thin in midfield especially as I'd always thought Gardner was a more attacking player. Wolves seem to have set up their mid by fielding as many kickers as possible.

Just hope Gardner can grasp this chance, and we can cope with Clark at left back until we can get shot of snivler warnock, the biggest wimp since we had erm... Downing.
