I think it's absolutely nuts bringing Ireland off.

Unless Ireland is tired after two games in two days.

He didn't much like it, he was still our most lively player on the pitch, and he could be rested in the Cup anyway, so he'd have nearly two weeks without a game.

I  love how these players are beyond reproach at times.  Stephen Ireland has done fuk all in a Villa shirt for the best part of two years and then gets a standing ovation and the manager villified after one decent performance.

We really have clueless fans - Ireland was injured a couple of weeks ago and is probably knackered after 2 games in 3 days

Seems any excuse to have a go at McLeish

Two good performances. He's been the best Villa player out there today.

If  he'd been average or not played well at all, nonoe could complain, but he's the only player out there that looked likely to do anything.

"You don't know what you are doing" chants

I did wonder before the game with the inclusion of Bent and Marc on the bench, just where the service would come from. If we play Bent at least give him some bloody crosses to run on to.

Ireland has been one of the few that have done ok for me. Tried to make things happen, but just not been able to.

I tried what I did against Chelsea and not watch a stream until 60 mins had passed. It's been all us but nothing approaching any end product.

My goodness. This is about as inept a display as I've seen in a good while. Spurs was a surrender, but in a game we should be winning this is horrendous. It's honestly as if the whole lot got wankered after the Chelsea game and have massive hangovers. Or the team thinks the game is at 7.30 or something.

I'm sorry, but McLeish doesn't have a clue, does he.

Jimbo its simple mate, he can set a team up one way and make it very difficult for teams to break us down, hence Chelsea, if he deviates from that we are phucked, one trick pony, just the same at City, that's what i was saying earlier, problem is you can't stay in the Premiership playing like that, or at least have a decent season.

Said a few days ago, irrespective of the Chelsea result said the Swansea game was all important, and so its proving.
