What an odd day this has been so far, Blackburn winning at Old Trafford, and Ireland scoring at Stamford Bridge.

I think I must be pissed already.

Halsey goes back years. Arsenal at home comes to mind when he basically gave a penalty for Kanu running into Mellberg and allowed Henry to take a free kick without any signal and gave the goal. Twat.

Too many soft free kicks conceded, not enough talking in defence; looking a little ragged at the back.
Better from MF up the field. Now need to get more from Albie and keep the passing tighter and we may get something this afternoon.

Just got in from an invigorating walk to hear the words "Villa in control" from 5Live - am I in an alternate reality?
Some joker says Ireland scored as well!

As a beard-sporting gentleman myself, I must say, Carlos Cuellar always seems to sport some magnificent facial furniture.

Impressive stuff.

Its not as good as Olof's was!

Terry should still have gone for deliberate hand ball on the line.

He would have if we hadn't have scored, as it is you won't find a referee who will give both.

Oh for a decent back 4, Halsey is a joke, 3 wrong decisions around our box.

Real good effort lads.

Looked a threat going forward with Ireland and N'zogbia especially dangerous.

Defended well besides the "i've just escaped from the lunatic asylum" challenge from Dunne.

Only thing i'd say is Chelsea have been pretty ordinary so far, so i'd expect them to improve 2nd half.

And Curtis Davies has just scored.

Guzan looks a bit too uncertain for my liking.

Further up the field we look much better, but tend to keep getting ourselves into decent positions, not knowing what to do with it, and just passing it back to the defence, who then hoof what is basically a 50/50 at best long ball.
