He came onto the scene really well  (sorry) when DOL was in charge, but then seemed to lose his way.

Probably after that appearance on MTV cribs.

I remember that Nev. My take on it though, was that his confidence seemed to be absolutely shattered for most of the season, and if I remember rightly at the time, the fans were making a bit of a scapegoat of him. He got lots of stick, and I felt that it broke him, and in the end and he couldn't handle it. Some players dont have that mental toughness. I thought he was sick of the fans having a go at him, and that was why he kept his hands in his pockets and couldn't give a fuck.
