Fonz seemed to be his usual lightweight self until he realised that, for once, he was in a team of hard workers. I would give him a few more chances, not as a starter, but will be surprised if he ever rekindles the great form he showed for one season in the youth team.

The Fonz needs a run of games to show his undoubted ability. Constantly playing then on the bench is no good for rhythm or confidence - he's a better option than Heskey. Finally, McLeish is giving Clark a run to show his ability - this should apply to the Fonz and Stephen Ireland.

Hasn't our defence been largely the same for about three years?

Two and a half, give or take Luke Young and Kyle Walker.
Has it? It doesn't seem that long ago when we were purchasing Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Young and Beye? By heck where does the time go?

Watching five hours of Riverdance TWICE would have been more exciting than what was offered
up the other night - Pullis & McLeish should be prosecuted by Trading Standards if they believe
football should be played in such a manner.

Whilst we were'nt great, at least we tried to play it on the floor. Stoke on the other hand, not content with having one specialist long thrower, now have two, which says all you need to know. Win a throw in, gain a few yards down the touchline and launch it into the box is their main tactic.

Yeah - we weren't as good as we were against Arsenal, but we were trying to play it around as much as possible.
