We're definitely trying.

We're just not very good at it, and a result, aren't having too much success.

Scarily this is light years better than the manc and 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' home games.

The Liverpool match was unforgiveable.

Think I might kip through the second half. Forgot how knackering 4am feeds are.

Fonz on for Heskey, I would have gone with Ireland or Bannan.

Paulie: if you're not bothered by my posts on zonal marking why have a dig every time I post on the subject. For my part, I do find it annoying when people continie to blame it for our frailty at set-peices. It's like arguing with people that 2 plus 2 isn't 5. It's a matter of fact, not opinion.

Another of heskeys problems is that he seems to be made of glass these days and is always breaking down

Heskey's done alright, I thought. I'd rather have seen Bannan come on instead of Delfouneso, though.

Not too bad in the first half. I mean, the standard overall was crap, but at least we were equally crap, as opposed to much crapper. It'll be an arse if we lose again, but I've seen enough in the last game and a half to be a bit more optimistic about things. Of course, I have been drinking...

There's a guy on Stoke's bench who looks like he should be Paul Lambert's Dad.
