Hutton has been given a cardboard cut out of Downing this week in training. Apparently it now looks like a plane crash victim :-) Come on Villa ........

I can't remember ever seeing such an even three way split on the result poll. I'm going for a Villa win along with our best performance of the season so far. And I haven't even had a drink yet!

I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me, but over the last few years, we've had some monumentally boring home matches against Liverpool.

I don't like this fixture. People moan about Man United's arrogant away support, but they're at least mostly Mancunians and are pretty much always the loudest fans we have.

Liverpool's support, on the other hand, is one of the worst year after year. All those daytripping fat blokes from Dublin, foam hand pointing Japanese tourists and jester hat toting Scandinavians, and they make next to no noise.

I'm going for a 0-0 boredraw.

Considering how much they hate each other, I've always thought Man U and Liverpool were basically the same. Support split about 50% between glory-hunting twats and 50% local scallies who think their city is the best in the World despite the acres of evidence to the contrary. They all like to think of themselves as being a "left-wing" club then moan when they don't spend £30 million on a new striker every year. Twats, the lot of them.

LOL I'm in Australia and work with one of these Japanese guy's who is flying over to the UK on the 23rd to go to his beloved Anfield with his family.

I tried to explain to him what a fuckin shit hole the area is and how disappointing the Kop stand is, explaining that it might look massive on TV (well it did in the 70's with the TV angles of swaying bin-dippers ) I pissed myself laughing at it the 1st time I went there after hear of this "famous"stand because our Witton Lane when it was a open end was bigger and the Holte End dwarfed it.

Can't see the attraction of flying to the other side of the world to be surrounded by thieving hi-pitched squealing thick scousers but each to his own.

Nail on the head there. They're the ultimate capitalists.

I hate all the great supporter bollocks that Liverpool seem to have managed to con everyone into believing. Unless they are pissing a match they make no noise after kick off. And if they are winning, not much noise anyway until the last few minutes and then they start singing YNWA.

As for the Kop, think over the last few times we've got a result there. It may as well have been empty for all the noise it made. It's just a smaller, shitter version of the Holte.

That's not the point.

A whole away end full of them, sat there updating their Facebook statuses and taking photos every time Suarez goes over their side of the ground.

That's the point.

I'm fairly confident that we'll at least get a draw.

My feeling is that we'll score early by Bent, and then hang on, possibly for the rest of the match. Alternatively, Liverpool will equalize in the last fifteen minutes.

I'd put Bannan in for Gabby but guess it will be Heskey.

1-1.

I'd like to think we could bring Bannan in for Gabby. But as I say above, I suspect we'd end up playing too deeply and unable to mount enough attacks. I don't think bent can play the lone front man role unless we're really playing through the midfield. Emile or Fonz for me.
