I have two hopes for this game. The first is that we win. I don't care how. The second is that that wriggling maggot Downing gets hell from the Holte End like nobody ever has before. I hope he wriggles up his own timid little arsehole until he turns himself inside out. I think we'll lose, but I still really hope the maggot gets his just deserts.

0-3.

i expect Downing to score. Or at least have a blinder. Thing is he'll be roundly booed but it'll make no odds to him. He doesn't give a shit about Villa or the fans. he has no emotional tie to us so it'll be just business as usual for him. However, as a sniveling weasel he make break down and be rubbish.

Still, 0-3.

I wonder if Downing actually knows the level of animosity he's going to face?  The players are so hidden away from the real world these days it's plausible he'll think he might get a mixed reception at worst.

There will be some pillocks who think they should clap him. I can hear them now: 'never boo an England player'.
On the other side of things, it is nice to see how Hutton's tackling is making people look forward to the prospect of Clowning getting sorted out.

As much as I despise Downing I wish him no actual harm on the pitch. Just constant vitriolic abuse from the stands will do fine.
He will get plenty from me. I am prepared to turn a blind eye when he gets sandwiched between Dunne and Collins.

If that lump Heskey is playing Sunday I may even walk out before kick off !! He really is a pile of *****.
I can understand why people think he does a job but for me he is a huge embarassment to the club and shirt.

PS anyone know how much the Half Villa /Half Opposition scarves cost? - Its VCTM jnr`s birthday next week and I want to buy some for him and his Liverpool supporting mates

I think i speak for most villa fans living in and around merseyside, i really want to win against the red lot more than any other game this season. I dont mind everton and their fans, but i honestly hate the red shite more than the Blues and Man Utd, the most sanctamonious set of supporters around. Please Villa win this one just for me, and make my train journey home and monday morning at work a lot more bearable. 2-0 to the villa. COME ON YOU VILLA BOYS!!!!!!!!

I saw someone had a half team scarf at Old Trafford on Saturday. Can't believe they do them for prem games now, it's just about acceptable when you play a european team.

There were loads of day trippers wearing those half and half scarves in the Upper Trinity for the manure game. Twats.

You really think Dunne will give up a sandwich for Dunne? Come on don't be daft.

I agree just because Gabby is out there is no need to play Heskey.  There has never been a need.

Did I miss something over the summer - why the really bad feeling for Downing?  We got a good price for an average player.

I saw so many people up there doing the "stand at end of row, look confusedly at ticket" thing.

Yep, me and Leeg were asked directions to where to buy them. We sent the guy over towards Mr Woodhall's area.

I wouldn't bother making the journey then as he is almost certainly playing and you know it.

aye. you just hope that he'll give it a go with the fonz up front, but my guess is it will be Ivanhoe with bent or 1 up front with him in midfield
