Warnock's positioning is quite poor at times and he has an infuriating tendency to lunge in and give away free kicks in a dangerous places.

:o Have to admit lads, bit shocked regarding your feelings about Warnock! Wasn't he in the England squad a while back?

Davey, told you a couple of nights ago about Warnock. Total waste of oxygen. Whiger, rubbish, weak, dives in, liability. All are kind I reckon Nigel Winterburn could dust off his boots and be a better player now.

Of those on that list, there is no chance Petrov will be sold in Jan. End of last season taught us how important a head he is in the team.

Aye, you did that marra! Still, honestly a little taken aback. But, you guys are seeing him week in week out, i'm just an outsider pearing in so to speak, only see him on MOTD, or Sky! I think Petrov is class, certainly a class above anything we currently have in his role, but despite the general consensus on here regarding MON signing older players, i'd be surprized if he came in for him to be truthfull!

I think Petrov will stay until the summer unless Sunderland come in with a mad offer, I still think we need his experience in the middle to guide some of the young players we have in that area.

Ireland can go, it's clearly not going to happen for him here and he isn't making much effort to try to make it happen. As others have said, we can just replace him in the squad with Gardner.

Just got this on our website! Nathan Delfouneso? I don't know much about him other than he's a young Villa striker who came through the ranks! Could be just papertalk like most transfer speculation in the round ups!

Warnock is fine for our and Sunderland's level.

He can be a plank at times with his position and stupid giving away from free kicks but I don't think he's had that bad a season.

On the other side, you sure you don't want Hutton back Davey?! Was he really this bad when he was on loan for you?

He's one of those who has never really looked like he could be something special, but might get a second wind. He seems to be our fourth choice striker behind Bent, Gabby and Weimann (fifth if you count Heskey) so maybe a £3 million move would be best for all concerned.

He was the next big thing a few seasons ago. He got on well with MoN who gave him the odd chance. He's faded out of the picture somewhat under Houllier and McLeish. The general concensus is that he probably won't make it as a premier league player but he does seem to be a good finisher as far as I can tell and has been a bit of a victim of circumstance being behind Gabby and Bent in the pecking order.

;D To be honest he was class when he was on loan with us. We tried to get him permanent but apparently Spuds wanted about 8-9 million for him! I'd take him after seeing what he done while up here. The odd phsycopathic challenge but generally quality, and talented going forward on overlaps, Would you swap him for very handsome, male model type, invisible Argentine International?  :D  We've seen him more on his youtube model video than we have in a red n white shirt!

I think it's fair to say if MON was still our manager, the Fonz would be a regular for us by now.

Edit: I think a loan would be the best solution as we'd look pretty stupid if we sold him for 2m and he then scored hatfuls for Sunderland. Much like when we sold Crouch to Southampton.

How ironic.  MO'N never played him at Villa despite having a choice between him and Heskey.  Merse made me laugh on Soccer Saturday today by saying he wouldnt be surprised if he goes for Heskey on loan till the end of the season.
