I like the claret t-shirt that they are wearing in the States

I'd have like to have seen a Villa shirt in the same style as Everton's this year.

Might have worked in all claret with blue cuffs? I know it's slightly away from tradition but it'd be a way of changing things up.

Ah well, the Macron kits seem to look far, far better when they actually fit the players; and the training stuff looks ace.

You're kidding me. The training gear is absolutely awful.

So Nike have traded Villa for Everton? I hope Everton fans can put up with being treated like second class citizens when the novelty wears off.

The training gear was one thing that Nike did well. I've not been impressed with what i've seen of the Macron stuff though.

Everton's shirt looks crap imo. Those over-wide cuffs look like bandages.

I saw a young lady (at my age they all look young) today wearing the new away shirt and I must say that it fitted her very well.
Oh, and the shirt looked okay I suppose.

The Everton shirt looks naff.

They're the latest casualty in the cookie-cutter-shirt revolution.

Everton 12/13 (H)

Kaizer Chiefs 12/13 (A)

Athletic Madrid 12/13 (H & A)

Hertha BSC 12/13 (H)

It would seem that Nike's new philsophy is "let's use the same template for every club and stick a few stripes in there", which, after having Nike for the last 4 years, is just unacceptable.

I can almost certainly guarantee that if Villa still had Nike, ours would be claret body, blue sleeves, fat claret trim.

I am so happy we have Macron, I really am.

Also, apologies for posting links and not pictures - can't do it at work.

Agreed - the Nike training gear was excellent as it could be worn for other activities as well (gym / Golf etc)

The actual kits they were real piss takers and i agree totally that they had a template and everyone was the same bar colours - horrible

The Nike kits were fantastic compared to the tat Macron have inflicted onto us. The last couple of Nike kits weren't the best but that was mainly down to those god awful cheques that Lerner insisted on.
The Macron training gear are an abomination.

The Nike kits were fantastic

When they finally arrived in the shops well after the optimum selling period. TBH you have saved money so why post a moan about the Macron kit on every single post you have made on this thread before, during and after the kit has come out?

Of course not, but as you instantly took a dislike to it from the moment the Macron deal was announced, we are very aware of your feelings on it by now. At least most people were willing to see what they came up with first before labelling them good or bad. It's the equivalent of someone jumping on new signings because they haven't heard of them.

The first two Nike kits were very good. Since they introduced the checks, they were pretty crap, and worse than this year's (home) effort. That said, I'm not sure the checks were Nike's idea... I heard Randy liked them, for some reason.

Macron certainly deserve credit for getting the, perfectly-reasonable if unspectacular, for getting the kit out promptly... Nike couldn't be arsed.

The home kit looked ace on telly/stream last night. Socks were particularly cool.  No complaints from me so far. Seem to be selling a few as well.
