Anyone seen this on the OS store? A Macron remake of the 1974 strip.

http://www.astonvilladirect.com/stores/astonvilla/products/product_details.aspx?pid=116674

Looks pretty smart ... I like it. Perfect for those not wanting to fork out £45 for the home shirt!
Been up the club shop today and they look better in the pics than in the flesh
They are not fitted as such and I don't really like the lettering down the sleeve

Let's not forget that you're not a fan of Macron anyway.

It's got a claret body and light blue sleeves. Sorted.

As a positive, The away kit is growing on me, a little like a Radiohead album does
Might actually get it when it's out
They had a load in the club shop today and were putting the PL sleeve badges on, the girl doing it said they were for the players
Perhaps we will see this kit at Burton ??

Unlikely, considering Burton wear yellow. I'm sure we'll be wearing it at Forest.

Training gear looks absolutely awful. The away kit not bad though.

The training gear does exactly what it says on the label...perfectly fine for football training or any sports activity but not what you'd want to wear down the pub or any other leisure activity. The leisure wear on the other hand really is absolutely awful.

The training gear wouldn't look so bad if only it didn't have MACRON written on the back in an astonishingly massive font.

Well training gear is made for the players to train in...nothing more, nothing less. If you consider that a lot of media photos are taken during training then it makes sense for a large Macron logo to be on the shirts as part of the commercial deal. They have been designed as functional training gear not as fashion shirts.

It's incredibly tacky though. Macron really are the pits.

Yeah I agree to an extent. I like to wear sportswear for training and leisure (ie around the house or popping down the local shops), but I'd never wear any clothing with large logos plastered over them whether it be Macron, Nike or adidas. I wont be buying any of the Villa clothing range this season.

That vintage replica kit is a thing of beauty. I want one! Need to do some sit ups first though!

Agree the quality is better than Nike guess I'm disappointed with the designs and fitting. I expected some slick fitted Italian styling

I think the first nike kit, 32RED in 07/08, is up there with the 1995/96 kit as one of my all time favourites.

The new Macron kits are better than the last two nike kits, but overall, are pretty average.

Tbh, whilst I don't like it, I'd rather have a very good villa side playing in a crap kit rather than a crap team in a nice kit (which we've had recently)

Took delivery yesterday of the two new T shirts as I like something slightly more subtle at my age than the actual kit. The one in white and very dark blue/black is particularly nice but pleased with them both. They will both get a good airing in the south of France this coming summer!

Seems we will be wearing the away kit at Burton.

Be seen in green as one of Lambert's Limes as away kit goes on sale.
Lambert's Lions to wear new lime strip at Burton.

There was a more enlightening story about it on the OS, but that's now the information.

That's not true these days, though, is it? That's why they flog the stuff to non players.

I genuinely don't have an opinion on it one way or the other in terms of taste - I've only seen pics of it in use on the OS, just saying that it hasn't been purely about for the players for a long time now.
