I've been vocally happy with the shirts, went to buy one today. Tried it on. Ended up buying this

instead. Happy with my decision too. Something just seemed off about the new shirt when I had it on. I really can't put my finger on what, though.

I loved that shirt.

I can just imagine the outrage now if we were given a shirt that was the same design as at least three other clubs in the Premier League.
Man Utd,Southampton and Sheff Wed.Where can I collect my prize?

Yes for Man U, however IIRC it was Sheff Utd not Wednesday with the drawstring shirt.  Definitely not Southampton either - they were Pony (literally) not Umbro.

As an owner of the original of that Villa shirt, I have to say I think they've done a terrible job replicating it. The fabric is different, the hologram effect thing is different and most obviously, the sponsor is nowhere to be seen. I'm sorry to be a pedant and if you're happy with it that's what matters, but I was disappointed with it.

re the sponsor thing, the current club sponsors would not be at all pleased to see anyone producing replica villa shirts with anyone's name on the front but their own.

The Villa shop still sells the 82/83 shirt with Davenports on it.

I pick up dog-shit in Aston Park, but it's a great job as i can get to Villa Park whenever I want.

I'm not made to feel at all welcome in the club shop though - and they never let me try anything on.

You haven't accidentally left your gloves in my sports holdall have you? There's something in there that doesn't belong.

And the 93/94 shirt with Muller on.

Have to say that it's one of my least favorite shirts.  Just behind the green and Black striped away top.
