The home kit needs to be more distinctive to separate it from West Ham, either by keeping the checks that have been a feature of recent years or working in some extra detail.  Like the blue panelling at the side of the 1982 Le Coq Sportif kits, or the striped collar of the 1981 kit.

Disagree completely, hate the checks and why do we have to be more distinctive with kit design re the likes of West Ham?  Remember we were claret and blue long before them, we're the most famous club to play in claret and blue, I'd love to see us play in a kit similar style to that from the seventies.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but this is an interesting link

I wish we would kick those checks into touch , the football has been dire since we had them.

Hmmm, 1884-1886 was nice....    I would lose the check pattern too. It's unlucky, don't think we won a match when I wore the away top last season and it looks crap anyway.

Love those mockups. I'd buy both if the kits were like that.

What's all this about a green away kit?

Yep. That's what I heard a good while ago now. Green away kit.
I usually would have seen an image of it by now but they're really tightening up this year.

I was a massive fan of the green, red & black kit of 1993/4 so hopefully it's similar.

Personally, I love the current badge, looks a lot more 'professional' than previous ones, for lack of a better word. I did originally hate it though.

It doesn't look more professional. If you like it, fair enough, but from a design point of view, it's hopelessly amatuer. Two light colours that blend in to each other, combined with the two conflicting fonts. No professional graphic designer worth his salary would have put that together.

So it has grown on you then? Same for me. Couldn't stand it at first, but have now come to accept it. The circular badge is still my preferred choice. Shows my age I suppose.

Definitely, It's probably because I'm a younger fan and haven't grown up with anything other than the previous striped badge and stuff I've seen my old man wear.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Just been having a look over some of those old kits.  Looking back, I have always liked the Hummel kits we have had.  Quite a unique brand in English football and the 1989-1990 home and away kits remain my all-time favourites.  I just hope the new Macron kits don't have the logo on the shoulder of the shirts, as that looks terrible on some of the kits they already produce.

Sorry if already posted and probably just be a mockup but not keen on these two. http://robosvillablog.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/aufoowqcmaaioyx.jpg

I don't hate them..

Quite like the home one, and if the away one's not too garish I could be tempted.

The colour of our badge shouldn't be changed to match the kit. If the kit doesn't go with the badge, they should go back to the drawing board.
