FC Lorient go for a more conservative Macron design.  Any kit is brilliant if it has the word 'biscuits' on it in my opinion.

To be fair they do pretty nice biscuits and cakes. Used to love them on camping holidays as a kid to Brittany and the West coast of France.

That Lorient kit is well smart. Claret and blue version would be great, but I do worry West Ham will have already had a prototype in the years I wasn't watching them.

Didn't the Third Reich adopt the eagle as it was a symbol of the Roman Empire? And wasn't the Roman Empire a more-or-less fascist regime (although admittedly I'm basing that assumption on repeated viewings of Gladiator and Spartacus)?

Anyway, I haven't seen a Macron kit I don't like yet.

That Lorient kit is fucking bobbins.

It looks like a Rally car that Stevie Wonder has applied stickers to.

Yeah that's fair enough, Archie. The eagle does look a bit 'Luftwaffe' though :P

I am expected ours to have the lions head on the front ;)

Surely not, mate.
Surely at those times people were divided in social classes, but so were until XIX century, when in USA slavery was legal

The Ancient Roman were one of the most important civilization of the history of mankind, they built roads, bridges, aqueductus, beautful buildings, produced masterworks of art, and their jurdical system, for insatnce, is still considered the most perfect, and fair, of all times.

Have to admit, when I first read FC Lorient, I thought it was referring to Leyton Orient and they'd just been re-badged.

ha!
reminds me of this...

Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?

Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.

Pete: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?

Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.
