If got a 'COWS' training top with 6 on it, Gareth Barry wasn't as fat as I thought.

I watched both Leeds and West Ham playing away this weekend. Both use Macron.
The Leeds black kit with dayglo lime green trim is bloody awful.
At least the WH kit was a nod to the clubs colours and to their past, I'm sure the likes of Brooking and Bonds played in a similar strip in the 80's.
For us it has to be either all white with claret trim or a real nod to the past with a yellow with blue trim shirt as seen elsewhere in this thread.

I coach youth football and the club has Macron kit/training wear - top notch in my view and when I did my latest coaching badge the two FA tutors (one ex-Southampton academy head and the other ex-Bristol City academy head) said it was quality stuff.

Same here - our coaches stuff and all our boys kit have been Macron for the last few years. Seems reasonable enough to me.

That Southampton guy - not Nigel Quincey by any chance?

Napoli retain Macron - with Lazio rumoured to follow.  They're not sticking around.

CT and DaveVillan, it was Nigel Quincey - good bloke and a top coach. Clear about what he wanted, calm in approach and above all kept it simple.

I think he is a 'freelance' coach rather than on the payroll with the FA.

Nigel was a top man on my Level 1 - I really enjoyed working with him. He certainly liked to mention his involvment with Gareth Bale at Southampton just once or twice!

He took the level 2 course I did, and certainly Gareth Bale got a few mentions (!) but still a top man as you say.

He was often quite critical of the academy system and the requirement to travel for several hours (early mornings or late in the evening) to play against another academy side just because we have a fascination with testing players in a competitive match to work out who is best - rather than work with a group to get them to improve. Makes sense.

Saw a Nike t- shirt earlier in th store in town that was made by Nike, it had a Print of a scarf around the neck and chest with 'villains' written on it. Everything else in there has 'villans'. Lazy fuckers.

Which is correct tho? Just look to the top of the page at the website name "Heroes & Villains", it could be that Nike are right and the others wrong

Lazy because they have left the i out. The correct spelling is Villain, but past habits have been to leave the i out.

As the season progresses, the move to Macron as shirt manufacturer makes more and more sense.

Everyone said when they were announced that Macron only make Championship club shirts...
