Apart from this one, I haven't been impressed with any of Nike's efforts.  I wouldn't buy a replica shirt these days anyway though, it doesn't matter who supplies it.

If you go into Sports World in Birmingham City Centre you will see loads of Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea shirts - Sky 4 shirts.

But you will also see Villa shirts.

You won't see any Birmingham City shirts in there even though it is Birmingham City Centre.

Do we really want that to happen to us?

Adidas  please

For a club of Villa's size you'd have thought we'd go for someone like this but Lerner's continuing downgrading of the club even stretches to who manufactures the kit. It's Macron, not Adidas. A firm that makes kits for cheap and cheerful lower league clubs.
Pathetic.

I've just looked at some of the clubs currently in the Macron stable.

They supply quite a few mid-ranking teams in the top division in Spain, Portugal, Holland, France and their home country of Italy, but clubs with stature and potential to showcase their brand.

Given that, linking with a mid-ranking team in the Premier League like Villa makes sense.

I don't think it matters who makes them as long as:

a) They don't fall apart and have to be recalled and
b) They're available in June or July.

For a so-called top of the range manufacturer, Nike has been incredibly shoddy over the last seasons.

And it just about sums up Lerner's ambition for the club.

I'd much rather go with an up and coming company that would treat the Villans with respect and promote their Club connection with pride........instead of an outfit that doesnt even list us on their website and appears quite contemptuous.

Look at the teams who have Nike kits:

Clubs - Arsenal, Man United, Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Milan

National teams - Brazil, France, Holland, Portugal, Serbia, USA, Korea, Australia

It is good for Aston Villa to be associated with those teams.
