there's only one reason why they've chosen to put it live on telly.

And it's not because the schedulers expect Villa to win

Yep, i'm pretty sure they're expecting an upset that day

Hoping rather than expecting.

You'd hope that a side that has drawn at Everton, QPR and Fulham are capable of not losing at Bristol Rovers.

That's a bit optimistic.

Personally think the Criteria is pretty poor for this game. Yes, Season Ticket Holders should obviously get priority, but I have mates who either can't afford an ST, or are at Uni, who wanted to go to this game. Couple of them have missed just 2 or 3 aways so far, yet they have to wait 11 days into selling of 1400 tickets?

You can't just give tickets out to people who have just been to a few away games. I'm a season ticket holder, Bolton will be my 5th away but i can't get my ticket until Monday. They've made it as fair as they can although i think the Bolton game should count as one of the aways.

Allocation seems perfectly fair to me; why shouldn't people who've been to every game, H&A, get first bite of the cherry?

I agree, although it means I'm hoping to get tickets on Tuesday  :-\

Most of the aways I want to get to are still to come; Wigan, Blackburn and Norwich. Might try and go to Arsenal too.

A point at Loftus Road and Craven Cottage?

Hardly the stuff of legends. It's pretty easy to see why people might see us as a cup upset waiting to happen.

I went to watch Rovers v Swindon yesterday.

If we lose to the Gas, it'll be the biggest upset in Villa history. They're a poor League 2 side, very small at the back and with a centre forward (Matt Harrold) who lacks any mobility.

Secondary striker Chris Zebroski looks OK but nothing special.

They do have two decent wingers in Joe Anyinsah and Mustapha Carayol.

Keeper Scott Bevan is big (6' 6") and has long kick that'll need to be watched out for.

I can't say that the central midfielders did anything that made them stand out for me.

The result was 1-1. The Swindon goal came from a midfielder running from his own half, through the midfield and defence before finishing with a scuffed shot. Very shabby defending.

The Gas did manage a late equaliser from a decent header.

Yes, I did get a voucher but I had to ask for it. the Turnstile bloke was a bit reluctant to hand them out. He said, only half jokingly, that he was hoping to keep some for himself.

Has anyone spoken to the Ticket Office today and got an estimate of how far down the priority system them expect tickets to go ?
