So far we've written off Bent, N'Zogbia and Albrighton on the basis of a rumoured short-term loan signing.

I suppose it must be that because it's obvious we don't need to add creativity, strengthen the squad or provide competition for places and none of our players ever get injured or suspended.

I don't think we're that well off in the attacking department that we can afford to ignore the potential to strengthen if the chance comes up. We only really have Gabby and Bent scoring any goals this season; N'Zogbia hasn't got going yet, Albrighton's not playing, Delfouneso isn't getting a look in, Weimann's not ready and we're busy turning Heskey into the new Beckenbauer.

I think we can take on a new striker/winger, don't think it necessarily means anyone is leaving.

Our defense makes stupid mistakes but in the hierarchy of football they're not that bad. We just need to find a way to score and be able to overcome defensive errors on the scoreboard. If we find a way to score 2 or 3 goals a game I doubt we'll see many losses. Its a shame we can't sign him up today because these waters are going to get rough.

We need offense, and I don't care if it comes from a winger, the middle or a forward. Hopefully, he comes with some confidence and is out to prove he still has value. We just can't afford more offensive stutter, similar to N'Zogbia.

It's all very strange, signed too late to play for Nice but he is a Nice player (I think), I can't understand why Nice want to send him out on loan, especially having gone to the trouble of fighting UEFA to allow him to play. Isn't Brian Green our Nice expert?

I had a similar thought to Greg - another forward.

Aside from that, I can't think of a single signing from a French club that's come off for us. From Jean II through to Mattheiu Berson. Even Didier Six's loan from Mulhouse back in the eighties only excited for about three or four games in total.

Heskey and the Fonz won't be here next season so we do need another forward and we also lack players who can play out wide.

I assume this will be a loan, see how this lad will get on.

Have the club actually confirmed it yet? Its been about 24 hours since this leaked out so you'd think they'd have confirmed or denied it. Unless they wanted it kept quiet because he's lined up to replace someone in Jan.........
