I notice he still managed to fall over whilst scoring.

My mate was in Sydney and saw this and said his goal was greeted with jeering and laughter

Well he was playing for the away team and I don't suppose there were many away fans in the stadium.

I think he has found his level. He looked very good in the game last night as well as scoring. He got a standing ovation from both sets of fans when he came off after about 80 minutes.

That says a lot more about the standard of the Australian league than it does about Gentle Ben.

It does and was meant to. I remember having a conversation with a New Zealand mate who reckoned the football in the A League could stand it's own against the English Premier League (yeah I laughed as well) and then pointed out that the best player at the time in the A League couldn't even get a regular game for Millwall (Paul Ifill).

Always liked Heskey, in a way I felt sorry for him.

I bet he still can't believe he's playing alongside Alessandro Del Piero.

I hope he had a chance to remind of the utterly bollocks penalty he took that allowed us to lift the coveted Peace Cup. Fucking show pony.

I imagine ADP lies awake at night replaying that moment over and over in his head.  If only he had done something different, then his honours, including World Cup, Serie A, Champions League, Italian Cup, Golden Boot etc etc would be completed by the addition of a Peace Cup medal.  He must look at Barry Bannan and think, if only........... ;)

You're only as good as your last tournament.

He's almost playing alongside him. Should imagine half his attempts on goal end up heading towards Sydney.
