Every time I see Heskey in a Villa shirt he looks like he's about to burst into tears.

Good for Emile. He stopped being true PL level a few years back but doesn't mean for he couldn't have done the job for someone at a lower level to see out his career. He'll do alright out there and they seem to get decent crowds. Better than playing on a cold day in the Championship or league one somewhere in front of 10,000.

We still have the Heskey thread active!?

Threads rarely become inactive as such, they just sink down the list of most recently posted-on threads.

We like it when, rather than someone starting a new thread on Heskey for something like this, they take the time to dig out the original and append it to that.

I understand how it works. I just thought that applied to threads about players still employed by us.

No, it applies to any thread, about anything.

Glad he's not playing for us anymore tbh.

I believe it was Richard Moore who summed it up best a while ago when he said something along the lines of never really classing Heskey as a Villa player.

Thing is he was a Villa player. Just not a very good one. There are many other players I'd resign to the pits of hell having worn our beautiful colours before I get to Heskey's name.

He'll be one of those missing 11 in ten years or so whose name you'll completely forget.

This. At least you can't fault him for effort. Whenever I think of him and his time here it is MON who I get pissed at for signing him.

I think he has found his level. He looked very good in the game last night as well as scoring. He got a standing ovation from both sets of fans when he came off after about 80 minutes.

I can't think of many to be honest.  Whilst not all his fault, Heskey perfectly encapsulates everything that went wrong under Lerner's ownership.
