It's going to take years to recover form this mess and the recovery cannot begin until Mcleish has gone.

I just hope we survive.

The thing is, the stuff that Heskey IS half decent at is being completely ignored at the moment. If he is going to play then he should be up front, as a target man with his back to goal, winning headers, keeping the ball under a bit of pressure and then laying the ball off. At that, he's alright. He's no Zamora, but he can do the job.
What he is being asked to do now, and which he tries, is just stupid and unfortunately for him results in more than his fair share of comedy classics.

McLeish has simply got to make up his mind and stick to it, rather than shoe-horning 'big' players in for the sake of it. Playing Heskey? Fine, stick him up top next Bent (yes, we'll moan that it should be Gabby, tough, get on with it) and go 4-4-2. Whatever. Playing 4-3-3? Lovely, put Gabby and N'Zogbia left and right  to provide space and service for Bent.

Houllier had it right with regards to Heskey, played to his strength and made him look half-decent again. But then, Houllier is much better than McLeish.

Yakubu. Very like Heskey in size and age and position. Free transfer. Low wages. 9 goals already and great hold up play.

That useless donkey is so utterly predictable.
Just like you. Do you support the Villa or what?

Right, enough is enough now. What is it with you and the other Dave targetting my posts?  This isn't the time to be blasting your own to be honest.

He was useless. Did you even see the game? I was there! He had a clear shot on target but fucked it up big style. There's no arguing otherwise. He also had the chance to past it to Bent who was free in the box.

Did you even comment after the game? Or are you looking for a flame battle? Aren't going to get it regardless.

LOL post of the month, ' Did you even see the game ?'  well DC5 did you ?

Wonderful.
I also loved the bit about "This isn't the time to be blasting your own to be honest". Oh, the irony.

Yes, I was at the game and didn't spend all of it directing vitriol at the manager as, no doubt, you did.
Talking about being at the game, you have stated that you are not going again. As you like to keep commenting on people not being there, with the theory they know less about things than you, will this be the last we hear from you?

I hope it is.

titter ye not, but according to redknapp jnr, Heskey has made the 500 club and joins only 5 other players that  have stunk out, i mean played 500 premier games. He also urges MON to buy him. I've always liked Jamie........

Exactly who do you think you are to demand that everyone agrees with you? Perhaps if at least 220 of your 227 posts weren't hysterical whinging you might be taken seriously.

I'm actually wondering was Harewood better in a Villa shirt?

He was. He scored an absolute belter against Reading at their place. I'm struggling to think of one thing that Heskey has done that comes close.

Overhead kick at Anfield is always what I remember from him.

Heskey was actually decent for us at the back end of 2009 and also when Houllier came in. What happened both times? He got injured. That's the trouble, when he plays o.k for 1-2 games he usually gets injured or sent off like he did against Sunderland just after he scored at Chelsea.

I seem to remember Harewood coming on and changing the game against Newcastle a few seasons back. When Carew got that hattrick.

The overhead at Anfield was so beautifully unexpected! An eye opener for me.
