Why was he smiling when he fell over?

I think he's embraced the life of being a comedy act.

Emile is a total clown, but he is not alone, we have a club full of clowns. Heskey just go to Leicester now.

We showed a bit of fight when he came on.  We were over the halfway line for a lot of the play after he came on.  Emile is not universally appreciated but my goodness I appreciate his effect on a team.

Not his fault that the forwards couldn't score.  We had chances and he did not head the ball out of the goal on those shots.  He was part of the build-up to score.  He is a superb team player.

I want us to keep Heskey.

I don't.

Let's look at Emile's main contributions to the game today:

Heading wide from 5 yards from a corner.

Tying his shoelaces when we were attacking in the second half.

Trying to hit the corner flag in the last minute when Darren Bent was unmarked to his left and only needed to be slid in?!

I know he's an easy target but he dosen't make it easy for himself.

Heskey is useless. But he tries.

Which makes him slightly less worse than the players that are useless and don't try.

The last line is the most important of everything you wrote there Soccer. I'm not a Heskey hater, but at the same time he is his own very worst enemy. I just want him gone so as fans we never, ever have discuss him again.

Two poor attempts on goal (but still better than anything Bent managed in 100 minutes) but a lot of our positive play in the last 15 mins or so (well positive for us anyway) came when he was involved.

We all laughed when he fell over near the end despite having a good chance. That useless donkey is so utterly predictable.

Don't blame a hugely limited player who, at least, has a go. Blame the people who appointed the clueless manager who still sees his worth in the top flight.

he's like a mascot now. Like others, I don't dislike him personally, he doesn't annoy me like Dunne and Co. He's just there...a link between the money bags days of needing a striker to fire us into the CL and the present squalid mess. His buffoonery tonight is just par for the course. Can't hate him for it, he's just the on the pitch because of circumstances outside his control. And ours.

He is absolutely fucking useless.

I don't care if he tries. That alone is nowhere near enough.

Right, enough is enough now. What is it with you and the other Dave targetting my posts?  This isn't the time to be blasting your own to be honest.

He was useless. Did you even see the game? I was there! He had a clear shot on target but fucked it up big style. There's no arguing otherwise. He also had the chance to past it to Bent who was free in the box.

Did you even comment after the game? Or are you looking for a flame battle? Aren't going to get it regardless.

Villa fans are so divided right now, it's sad from top to bottom.

As for Heskey, he gives his all and I respect him for that but he hasn't really added anything since he was signed and he was never going to. I still think he's more of a model pro than many mercenaries in the game today.
