It will be worse against Manure as I think N'zogbia will be dropped as he probably won't track back much against Evra/Nani/Young and I think Heskey will play wide. And as for why he's playing every week, didn't McLeish say a while ago he was speaking to Warnock after a game and they both agreed playing Heskey helped the team play better?!
Emile is a versatile player, a good team player. I know that every single player loves him,” said McLeish. “I was speaking to Stephen Warnock and telling him he had a great game against Sunderland and he said ‘it’s just dead easy to play with Emile’ and I thought that summed it up. He was in a 4-4-1-1 as the one behind the main striker against Sunderland which he is very good at. And we changed it because maybe he is a little bit better at filling the space between the full-back and winger which is why he changed things around a bit.”Read more: http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/aston-villa-fc/2011/11/03/alex-mcleish-we-all-love-emile-heskey/#ixzz1f0gnn9RU
Comments like that from Mcleish along with the "Heskey would be a great cente half and could be our Franz Beckenbaur" make me realise how much of a clueless wanker he really is
I have no desire to see Heskey playing in an attacking Midfield position for us again.

Even putting aside the footballing reasons, giving a contract to him would be throwing money down the drain. Such a lack of prudence would be unforgiveable, as the strategy of the club may be frustrating enough, but to not even do it well would be desperate.
