How much do you bet Heskey starts next week?As mentioned on the MT. We actually dropped down a level when Jenas came on who seemed to have taken a leaf out of the Stephen Ireland book of Midfield play. When Bannan came on we improved back up to a better level. But only Gabby (rightly MoM) did anything worthwhile in Villa shirt on actually making the keeper work.

Absolute complete and utter gash from start to finish.
Good performance in difficult circumstances, especially in the second half when Bannan came on. Hats off to Given and Collins for putting a good shift in, must have been hard work for them both.
Don't agree at all I thought Jenas did pretty well.
Given madea couple of big saves in difficult emotional circumstances. He is the one creditable thing Eck has done. We looked a useful side with Jenas and Bannan on the field. The team that finished should be close to that starting next time.

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that he is still getting over his injury, but all he seemed to do for most of his match time was walk around in midfield, tell Warnock that he thought the challenge was fair and dummy the ball in the box. Bannan had probably twice as many touches on the ball and was twice as dangerous then Jenas iin half the time on the pitch. For all Heskeys poorness, Swansea had the best chances in the second half with Jenas letting them run past him.
Premature Man Ure pre match thread: 0-3, with them all pissy after that Toon pen and us on the back foot.
