There won't be any changes. He's still got his 0-0.

I genuinely believe that Mcleish can't see whats very obvious. Heskey shouldn't be playing, we should be playing midfielders in midfield and Hutton is diabolical.

Aside from Gabby.. Herd has been our best player, surprised to see people blaming this on Herd in midfield. Every team has a player who does the Donkey work. Essien, Makelele, Busquets....

No Herd is nowhere near their standard but he's doing his job very well. Its Heskey and Delph that need to be changed.

A midfield of Jenas, Bannan and Ireland would be horrific. You cant play 3 playmakers without a Herd type player because they would get destroyed. Even Arsenal have Song/ had a Viera. Herd is important in letting Bannan and Jenas play their best..

Hutton reminds me of that right back small heath had. Another lunatic.

We've had some shit full backs over the years, but I struggle to think of any as utterly, utterly brainless as Hutton.

What on earth was he thinking with that challenge?

Hutton ...............Hack em and slash em, thought those days had gone.

Another vote here for Delph & Heskey off, Bannan and Jenas on. I think Herd has got the energy and the discipline to play the anchorman role behind them, and the three of them are each able to pick a decent pass.

The next 45 mins will probably decide AM's long-term future.  The first 45 was like Spurs but with added lunatic challenges.  I'm far from impressed.

Were just a horrible mess of a team that can get in the way of the opposition from time to time.

God bless all those that pay and travel to watch this shite.

except stephen carr is a far better player.

hutton is horrific but I dont think cuellar will improve things there possession wise. which is why herd should move there imo.

What is with Villa and right backs - Watson, Nelson, Charles, Bardsley, Mellberg, Cuellar, Hughes and now Hutton the worst of the lot

mark delaney was decent when fit, luke young when he played right back was cafu in comparison to this useless thug

Herd at right back, Clark in midfield (playing defensive role), Bannan and Jenas (playing attacking roles), Cuellar in, Collins out. Job done.

Al the players that can build the play, Bannan, Albrighton and Jenas, are out. Two reliable defenders like Clarke and Cuellar are out where as  three unwatchable palyers like Hutton (probably the worst RB ever), Dunne (doesn't find  a ground-passage even by mistake), and Collins (see Dunne and Hutton) are in.
I could accept a defeat if that meant a new manager with Mc Leish and Faulkner out. But I think that this won't happen.

And before anyone says 4 subs, I meant that should be our starting team.

I seriously would give Bent another 10mins, take him and Heskey of, move Gabby into the centre and push more bodies into the midfield where they are strongest, let Gabby get the goals, which he will do in a more central role.

We need to shake it up some way as good as Swansea are in possession we are making them look better than they are, good job they haven't a goal scorer.

Surely better to try and create a chance for Bent to score.  It's harsh to judge him with the service, and he is working hard - he's tracked their left winger back a few times when N'Zog couldn't be arsed.
