The players are hurt after defeat

Yeah, I really believe them. They must feel really hurt not putting any real effort and having to depressingly go back to their mansions after the match.

Why is it also that the club force the kids speak? Is it because the majority of seniors couldn't give a damn about us? It seems so.

The people who work at this club treat us like idiots simple as that. We've seen this PR stunt before.

How about a damn apology on why AMC set the team out not to lose and when a goal was scored it was a case of keeping the goal difference down as opposed to giving it a go? It wasn't like the tactics were good defensively anyway because Spurs could have had 6 if they better finishing. But nope none of that. We'll probably see something similar against Man Utd then.

I can believe the younger players caring and having the passion to succeed. But the likes of Dunne and Collins, no chance.

There were a number of these incidents last season which I hoped would trigger turning points in our performances but each one turned out to be a false dawn.

Lets just hope this really does make them think/perfom starting on sunday. That goes for whatever the problem is performance on the pitch or tactics.

You can't really expect the senior players to come up with something like FD said because in reality they don't give a shit.....so long as they get their filthy lucre they are satisfied so why add hypocrisy to the list of their attributes.

They only seem interested when they can rubbish someone else to cover  for their own shortcomings

I do not accept the lack of effort argument when results do not go the way you want. Lack of application, lack of tactical awareness, just plain not being good enough OK, but I think the times any player goes onto a pitch and does not really make every effort (however misguided) are extremely rare and they would be found out very quickly.
I will agree with virtually everything said these days about obscene wages, players being more mercenary, an ever widening gap in any connection between fans and players.

However, it does not matter if you look at a set of results in a Sunday league, semi-pro, players averaging £5k per week, or £50k per week - the league table will always show the win and loss columns totalling the same.

And if the didn't come out and say anything you'd be having a go about that.

See, I was right!

I dont think Delph should be the one to apologise as he played about 5 minutes and never lacks guts anyway.
And these things dont wash because the time to put it right is during the match, not a week after.

It's a bit hard to do much about it when the manager refuses to change things round.  It's not Huttons's fault he's a) shit, and b) played out of position.

Its his fault fannying around up front when Spurs are attacking though thinking he's got a day off because he's in midfield.
Which lead to Spurs' second goal. Its not just his fault but that was particularly shit.

If I was in charge of pr at AVFC I'd hve someone on these forums reading and getting the opinions of the fans. This is a good article from the club and by someone we know plays with guts and who the fans like. What would the response be if it were Collins giving this interview? We'd all be telling him where to stick his hurt feelings!

I'm quite pleased the senior players aren't saying much to be fair. The one and probably only upside of the defeat is we're spared the egotastic "We're all so happy now, i would have walked out if GH had stayed" stories we've endured during our easy start. It's all gone very quiet now...........

So they should be.   Herd and at a loooooonnnggggg stretch Gabby deserve something for effort, the rest were atrocious and a worse performance from professionals you are unlikely to see this season.
