I can't think of any away games this season where we've played decent football tbh.

We were ok at Sunderland and should have won the game and the 2nd half at QPR was more like it, after a terrible first half that is.

Yeah forgot Sunderland in the rage of conceding yet another late goal. Sunderland though imo are a poor team and will be close to relegation if they keep Bruce for the whole season.

QPR 2nd half was o.k but we were still sitting back once we scored instead of trying to get that killer 2nd goal.

Watched the Tottenham game with a blue nose and he said he is gonna drag Villa down and down. He mentioned his lack of ability as a tactician and he well out of his depth with a team of our reputation and history. Think he will play Hutton regardless. 1-1 at best with 3 shots on goal :-(

Yeah, the only Bluenose I really keep in touch with said much the same back in the Summer after the appointment. I was prepared to give the guy some slack, but most of that has gone.
I think the game on Sunday will see us being given a lesson in tight, pacy football, with the home side passing through us.

Let's hope Gabby is in God mode again because Collins and Hutton will let in 2 goals minimum by running around like a bunch of drunks and Heskey will do nothing apart from fall on his arse like a massive cry baby, while having the touch of a rapist.

It should be interesting to see how AM sets the side up.

If he does anything like the other night then he wants shooting. That said I don't think he will, he's picked pretty attacking sides fairly consistently and I think he'll see this as a winnable game.

1-2  Bent, Jenas.
Please please no Heskey in the starting line up!

So according to Matt Kendrick Jeans isnt fit to start, but should get around 30 mins, he thinks Bannan will come in.

I just hope he drops Collins and Hutton and has abit of faith in Ciaran Clark and Carlos Cuellar.

And from what Mcleish has said I think he will rest Herd, who has been our best player with Gabby recently.

--------------Given
Cuellar-Dunne-Clark-Warnock
---------Petrov-Delph
--N'Zogbia-Bannan-Gabby
--------------Bent

Mcleish cannot use the settled back four line, because we are shit at the moment, so i hope more than expect this line up.

So, on balance, I think this might be a call for a draw (2-2) at least.  And with Gabby in 'God mode' again with benty and heskey, we might even get 3 or 4.  'The touch of a rapist' ...is a fairly flamboyant description of holding up the ball till he can pass, but with Jenas in the team again, anything is possible.  The pass could go to him instead of Gabby. The pass could go to anybody going forward, which is the main thing.

OK, Compass, I'm in for 4-2.   But I don't think they'll (Swansea) get that many.  Villa win!

Improved performance in this one, enough to halt the McLeish Out! juggernaut before it can really build up a head of steam.

Mentioned on another thread that's how I see our season going, the red headed one always doing just enough to keep the bedsheets and banners away.  Though if we lose this going into our next set of fixtures...

Bright start from Swansea and an early goal, before we get back into the game and actually start to look a bit decent against what is still-lets face it- a Championship line up.  Mounting frustration until Ivanhoe pops up with an  equalizer in the last 10 minutes.     1-1

Not much of a juggernaut if it can be stopped by a 1-1 draw in South Wales: more like one of those infinitely variable automatic Daf's with a broken rubber band.
