Starting Line up against Swansea
« on: November 22, 2011, 02:00:40 PM »
Which starting line up do you think Eck should play against the Swans and which formation?

Im thinking 4-4-2 with the line up as follows:-

Given
Warnock
Dunne
Cuellar
Hutton

Bannan
Herd
Jenas
Nzogbia

Gabby
Bent

Shay

Carlos
Clark
Dunne
Warnock

Petrov
Herd
Jenas

N'zogbia
Bent
Gabby

Not too much to ask or even too radical.

I would go with that but in a 4-2-3-1 with Petrov and Herd holding and Jenas pushing on behind Bent, and Gabby and N'Z supporting from wider positions. We need 3 in centre midfield when we don't have the ball otherwise Swansea will have similar posession stats to Spurs last night.

Yeah Jenas is my most advanced of the trio there.

I'm split on Hutton or Cuellar at RB, but otherwise the same line-up as Soccer's. Clark must start games soon.

Subs: Guzan, Hutton/Cuellar, Delph, Bannan, Albrighton, Weimann, Gardner.

I want to see Petrov dropped.  I think Herd will do an equally good job in the holding MF role compared to him.  I dont rate Petrov at all.  Jenas has to start for sure.  Its going to be a tough game for sure.  They didn't do too bad against Utd so will definitely have a go at us.

Far too many players need dropping to have a kick up the arse from last night

I think the front 6 is pretty much nailed on, at least to us fans, but what he does with the back 4 will be interesting.

Guzan, Webb, Clark, Lowry, Baker, Albrighton, Johnson, Gardner, Grealish, Bannan, Burke.

That'll learn 'em.

The starting line-up will be the same as against Norwich, but I think Jenas will play instead of Heskey.

Are you sure ?  Heskey is glue in this team with Mcleish thinking he is on par with Andrés Iniesta

That'll do for me with Gardner / Delfouneso & Weimann amongst those on the bench

After thinking about it, I don't think we'll see many changes.

Given
Hutton   Clark   Dunne   Warnock
Herd
Petrov       Jenas
NZogbia                   Agbonlahor
Bent

If Hutton is having a 'mare then I'd take him off, put Herd at Right back & bring on Ireland/Bannan/Delph.

Please no Heskey, please no Collins.
