Didn't Man City score the exact same goal against us?

Where is Albrighton? Not even on the bench - McLeish either doesn't like him or he's injured.

With no creativity in midfield our only hope of a goal is from a set piece

Another entertaining 90 mins of football then.

we're getting torn a new one here. Fuck me. Can we not just have a go? Watching Swansea at the weekend or Norwich when they went to Man U, they just had a go. So they lost, but they went down having had more than enough chances to win.

My new dream is to see a Villa team come out of the blocks flying. Is it really too much to ask?

We did for the first 50 seconds.

evening guys, jut switched on to SS1. Trying to work out the formation. Dune, Collins, cuellar and warnock, with Hutton on the wing?

Hutton on right wing Heskey on left. Surprised 'Arry hasn't played 6 defenders to cope with our pace and threat

Brilliant defensive header from Heskey, Shame we were attacking then. But TBF, the Tottenham box is a foreign country for our players at the moment.

Christ. They are much, much better than us so far. Stll, a good, solid defensive set-up should give us a chance of holding on to this one-nil defeat.

I just can't imagine what was going through McLeish's head.  Hutton has been awful at right back, so why he was going to be any use at wide right lord only knows.

Anyway, we really should watch a game in town this season, misery loves company!

Herd is looking reasonably good again.  Mobile and looks to pass the ball forward and to players' feet.

You know, seeing it written down like that has darkened my mood still further.

He always seems to be in the training photos so god knows where he is.

BBC sport slagging off McLeish's tactics. Good. He's absoutely useless. What did you all expect from this match, honestly?

I hope Herd has paid people their sponsorship money back for that Movember effort.
