Gabby must be close to the england squad with this display today.

Thats the kiss of death... (automatically sold in the summer)!

Gabby was going to be included in the last England squad but Villa asked to keep him out as he had picked-up a knock (think it was the Wigan game).

Gabby probably could of reached zogs cross but he didnt commit cost he assumed bent would connect with his volley.

These are here for the beating

We must make sure that they are beaten and leave Villa Park with a good spanking.

Gabby has been our best player by a mile and dragged us back into the game. Herd has settled nicely too. Nzogbia isn't tracking back that much but is far more confident on the ball after a decent display last weekend.

Heskey hasnt been that bad but it makes no sense to play him. Especially in midfield.

Some awful indiscipline on show by a number of our players, well all our defenders, Petrov and Gabby. Just mindless stupid fouling. It was there last season and again this season. It might only seem a small thing but it's indicative of our club at the moment.

Agree with all of this.
I guess my view is that the midfield is so imbalanced: I'd like to see a true 4 in MF - Petrov, Herd, Delph and Jenas (with BB being an alternative to either Delph or JJ), and 2 from GA, Bent and N'Zog up front.
With Clark and Cuellar at the back (in place of Hutton and Collins) we'd be pretty good.

What the frig has happened to N'Zogbia's touch? He's actually playing ok, but still, must do better.
Gabby - awesome, keep it up.

Come on Villa, shite start but we've got the beating of these.

Heskey in midfield is the most annoying thing for me! Get JJ in

toplad4U,
Criticism of Bent is treacherous in my book. He kept us in the premiership last season and has scored 4 already this season. He was driven out of Spurs...let's love him whilst he's at the villa, please!

I certainly would not want the man out of Villa. He's an assett.

Gabby should be playing where Heskey is to keep getting behind them and one of our strikers on the bench (Clark or Cuellar) should come on.

BIG improvement during the half, but apart from Gabby we haven't asked enough questions of what looks a shaky Norwich defence. We still hoof the ball too much, and nobody's telling me that Heskey on the pitch is doing much for our creativity that Ireland couldn't do.

Normally I'd agree, but I think he's playing quite well today. But yeah, Jenas might bring a bit more dynamism, maybe.
