If Heskey plays behind the strikers then we really are in for a long winter. Reading Kendricks piece yesterday,it basically said Heskey was picked for his height and defensive work,if thats the case he may as well play Clarke.

Clark should be playing; period. I'd hate him to go the way of Cahill.

Nothing like a bit of pre match optimism eh chaps? I don't know why we're even bothering taking the field. Concede I say

Cuellar and Clarke should be playing. Other than that you cannot really argue with the selection. It says more about the state of our squad than McLeish's ability as manager.

so you think heskey offers more in midfield than ireland, bannan or jenas?

All the doom and gloom around here is so depressing. I say that as a glass half empty bloke myself.

Fingers crossed we can score about 3 today, somehow.

Oh dear, pretty poor start. Still, plenty of time to get into gear.

Afternoon, all.

Generally, no, but Ireland's mad, Bannan might not be in the right state of mind to play, and Jenas is probably only 30-40 per cent fit.
