We can't go on playing Heskey in all of these other roles. If he plays, then he plays up front with Bent. Although, does he deserve that role? Has he been better than Gabby? No. Emile, it's bench time.

It should be an open game. I think there will be goals 5-3 to Villa.

Looking forward to beating them about 4-0. Maybe that will stop some of the bleating.

I love Jermaine Jenas's attitude and I hope he gets a game tomorrow. I'm very optimistic about tomorrow - 3-1 to us, Bent (2), Gabby - 2 assists for Jermaine

Really, really hope that JJ will be able to play (and last well into the second half) before being substituted, tomorrow.

I know, Villa always of late seem to do their best to spoil Christmas and with that set of fixtures they may again.

Thrilling 1 - 1 draw. Hutton for us, diving header.

Regarding Heskey:

http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/aston-villa-fc/2011/11/03/alex-mcleish-we-all-love-emile-heskey/

He's crap up front, crap out on the wing and crap in central midfield......and he also does fuck all when defending at corners. Well , he's consistent at least.

OK up front. Adequate on the wing. Abysmal in central midfield.

That's how I'd sum it up.

Well if he is O.K. up front then we really have low standards in what we expect from a center forward. Sad times indeed.

For some reason my feeling is that we will underperform in the easier fixtures this month, but take some unexpected points in December, leaving us in lower midtable by the new year.
