I'm going for a return of the form against Wigan.  And the result.
Please!

McLeish has just said on the radio that Jenas should be be on the bench on Saturday.  He also said that despite 6 stitches to his head wound, Hutton should  be available.

Good sign that Hutton wants to get back in contention for his position.

Jenas? looking forward to his villa debut.

I am gutted as i was thinking about the team for Sunderland that i would prefer Herd in the midfield to Nzogbia !! As a team we are playing at about 60% of individuals real potential. Ireland barely average, Bent limited service leading to not expecting passes so lacking sharpness and Nzogbia is on another planet. Where is the management and coaching ?? Not confident about any points for this :-(

It is a sad state of affairs when I can't see us beating that lot.
2-1 to Them.

What price a Scott Parker right now, we really missed out there, even if we only got 2 seasons out of him, he would have held the midfield together, led by example and been a great assest to the youngsters.

No chance - he'll get injured in the warm up  ;)

I don't think he'll be starting.

They hit a bit of form and were hitting bad form, Bannan suspended and it will have a knock on effect, I vote 3-0 them

Hope im wrong

All my predictions so far have been wrong.

Going for a draw and even then I fear it will be a battle.  Not optimistic.

Well, this thread is a bit pessimistic, isn't it?  I find it strange that some people were genuinely thinking we'd get something at Man City, which was after a win and decent performance against Wigan, yet lose the last game and we're no match for Sunderland.  What's that 'F' word again?

I think it'll be a shit game and a draw.

Difficult one to call. You never know what you're going to get with Sunderland, but they are one of those teams I always feel you can get a result against.

Then again, they beat us home and away last season.

I've got a feeling it'll be a rather dismal 1-1 draw, Larsson scoring for them.
