I wonder how long it will be before we see Nash? I assume a while because today represents really good news.

I am having a Great Day.

Woke up to find the wife horny as hell so...let's just say I didn't turn her down!  ;)

Ambled downstairs and saw the door mat full of the dreaded brown envelopes. Feared the worst but opened one of them to find a cheque for 1200 quid from the taxman. Totally unexpected tax rebate!

Went to Franky & Benny's and had a Full English with their scrumptuous herb potatoes (yes, they're back by popular demand).

Checked H&V on my phone to find that we have appointed the new manager that will bring the vibrancy back to Aston Villa.

It was at that point that I realised...I am having a Great Day.

 ;D

go buy a lottery ticket  ;)

I really hope that our season ticket sales now go through the roof. TSM has gone and the bloke (pre-OGS) that most of us wanted, and is on reflection the most complete decision of everyone linked with us, has been installed. I cannot wait to hear his first press conference next week and to see how he starts to shake things up this summer. It will be a very exciting summer ahead.

Won't get chance now until Wednesday, but i'll be there to buy a season ticket. Well done Randy, now please give the guy half a chance by helping him in the transfer market. I hope to see a long term vision for the club, buying, hungry, ambitious, determined players who see it as a fantastic privilege to play for and wear the beautiful colours of Aston Villa and not money crazed wasters here for a pay day.

Good luck Paul Lambert and welcome.

I like the way this had been announced. I'm sure there will be a press conference, but everything seems rather low key.

Let the Scousers have the spotlight, while we get on with the business.

The only thing I could think of, with Lambert becoming a lion.

From the Norwich statement

"Some media reports are suggesting we have agreed compensation for Paul's services with Aston Villa, however this is not the case. We will continue to discuss this matter privately with Aston Villa."

Interesting. I heard someone say today they'd breached a clause in his contract by not letting him talk to us.
